For residents, with children Hahira Middle School and Hahira Elementary Schools are high quality schools. High school students attend Lowndes High located 11 miles to the south. The Lowndes County Schools blaze new paths of educational programs and student achievement and are considered among the best in the state. Also, Hahira has a pre-school program, Head Start school, and two Day Care Centers. The Georgia Sheriffs Boys Ranch is located seven miles east on S.R. 122.
